"Heart" Japanese calligraphy

"" (shin, or kokoro). It is translated as heart, mind, intelligence, soul, center, core.
This character is written by Kanzi,
Semi-cursive script.

Etymology : Hieroglyph
This letter was created by the form of the heart.
The ancient people express the state of the complicated internal organs well.

In the Far East, as for the case merely called "the flower", it means "cherry blossoms".
The Japanese superimposes the transitory life on own it.

  3. Yes has the form of a heat indeed.
The meaning is very beautiful, because heart and mind should work together, not against each other, as it frequently happens.
Thank you very much for your lovely comments, you are so kind, you even translated them.

  4. It seems to have the same form as in the regular script - just the strokes are more flowing.
