"Spring" Japanese calligraphy



"" (shun, or haru). It is translated as spring.
This character is written by Kanzi,
Regular Sript.

Etymology : Phono-semantic compound
「萅」simplified form.

semantic
(grass) + (sun) +  phonetic (village)

Weather piles up in the underground.
And the state that the trees and plants grow from there is expressed.

  3. I like the meaning of this character ... I see it as a pagoda ... and imagine blooming cherry trees around ... I fee cold, but outside is sunny ... I remember childhood springs, wearing sport shoes after months with heavy boots ...

    A mixture of feelings and thoughts your character suggested to me in this morning ... :)
